  • The Rev’d Mother Moira Evers
    The Rev’d Mother Moira Evers Priest in Charge

    Mother Moira comes from the Diocese of Newcastle, having worked in Victoria as a secondary school teacher for several years before she was ordained in the Diocese of Melbourne in 2007.

    As a priest, she finds her energy in Benedictine spirituality, contemplative prayer and the Eucharist, works of mercy and justice and vibrant local mission.

    Mother Moira believes in the importance of parish as community and strengthening relationships through conversations, visiting, meals, socials and good humour.

    Deb comes from a family of musicians in Brisbane and taught for 20 years with Education Queensland. She was ordained in 2017 and now serves as Assistant Curate in the Buderim community.

    Deb believes in church as practice for transformative community, the importance of the prophetic tradition and the responsibility to humbly participate in public discourse.

    Deb has two exuberant daughters who never cease teaching her about joy and gratitude.

    The Wardens are elected each year to work with the Parish Priest, helping to look after the administration of the Parish.

    Along with the Parish Council, they are responsible for finance, resources, records, communications and maintenance.

    The Wardens can be contacted through the Parish Office.
