Our parish family includes an increasing number of families with children. The inclusion of these children in worship is of great importance. We welcome children to worship by:
Sunday School is held every Sunday during the 8.30am service. Children begin the service with the whole congregation and then go out to the Hall after the opening hymn, prayers and a short children’s talk. They re-join the congregation in time for communion.
Parents are most welcome to attend Sunday school with their children if they wish. They may wish to attend the first few times to settle their children or they may wish to attend from time to time to assist with crafts and games.
Messy Church is a creative way of “being church” for families involving fun, games, craft activities, a short time of prayer together and a meal.
We aim to hold at least four Messy Church afternoons each year, and would love to hold more. You will be welcome, whatever your age, if you would like to come and experience what is happening at Messy Church.
Life is messy and God is to be found working at the messy edges of life.
Mainly Music is a music program designed to help children 0-5 yrs develop skills to enhance their learning through the use of music, rhythm, rhyme, movement, listening and more. Children also have the opportunity to create their own play, whilst giving parents the chance to have a chat over a cuppa.
“Friday Night Frenzy” is for all children regardless of background or circumstance, encouraging & empowering them and helping them to reach for their dreams.
“Friday Night Frenzy” runs from 5:30pm to 7:00pm on Friday evenings during the school term. It is designed to be a Safe, Fun & Accepting environment, where primary school aged children can get to know others their own age and develop their faith in Jesus Christ.
“United Youth,” our Friday night programme runs from 7:00pm – 8:30pm during the school term, and gives teenagers from across the local area a chance to come together to chill out, participate in some unforgettable games, (where champions are made), and learn how faith in God can inspire them to reach their full potential and encourage them in their journey through life.
All of these groups are open, and welcoming of new members. If you are interested in knowing more, please contact the Parish Office (5445 2060) and you will be put in touch with the appropriate person.
